These terms apply to your use of orvetech.ca, operated by OrveTech Systems. By using the site, you accept them. If you do not, please stop using the site.

What this does not cover

This page governs the website only. It is not a contract for work. If you hire us to build something, that is covered by a separate written agreement setting out the scope, the fixed price, the payment schedule, what happens to the work if the project stops, and when ownership of the finished work transfers to you. Nothing on this page changes anything in that agreement, and if the two ever conflict, the signed agreement wins.

The content here is general information

The articles, checklists, price ranges, and recommendations published on this site are general information for business owners. They are not professional, legal, financial, or technical advice for your specific situation, and reading them does not make us your contractor or advisor.

Price ranges quoted in articles describe what the market charges and are not quotes from us. Our own published prices are starting points, and the price for actual work is the one in a written quote we send you after a call.

We write this material carefully and correct it when we find it wrong, but we cannot promise it is complete, current, or right for your business. Decisions you make based on it are yours.

Our content

The text, articles, design, code, logo, and images on this site belong to OrveTech Systems, except for client work shown as examples, which belongs to those clients and appears here with their knowledge.

You are welcome to read, print, and share links to anything here, and to quote short passages with credit and a link back. You may not republish articles in full, present this material as your own, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you or work with you when we do not.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break into, disrupt, or overload this site, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or use it to send unsolicited commercial messages. Do not use the booking system to make appointments you have no intention of keeping.

Links and services we do not control

This site links to other websites, and uses booking and analytics services operated by other companies. We do not control those, we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information, and a link is not an endorsement. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

Availability

We aim to keep the site up and accurate, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or error free. We may change, move, or remove any part of it, including published articles and stated prices, without notice.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, OrveTech Systems is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, including lost profits, lost business, or lost data. If we are found liable for anything connected with your use of the site, our total liability is limited to CA$100.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and this section does not apply to work carried out under a signed services agreement, which has its own liability terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes about this site go to the courts of British Columbia.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the current version.
